Rehearsal Terms:
‘Pith’ / ‘Make it more Pithy’ - To take a fact and frame it with a joke.
‘Shopping list it’ - To make a recurring scene that builds each time you see it.
‘Veg’ / ‘We need to eat the veg’ - The parts of the show that haven’t been made yet and need to be focused on.
‘Chocolate’ / ‘Stop eating chocolate’ - The parts of the show that are formed that we really like to question and develop when we really should be eating our veg.
‘Let the baby take its first steps’ - Let ideas breathe more. We have the habit of discounting ideas before they even have a chance to be tried out.
‘Put it on the fridge’ - politely discarding an idea which doesn’t work.
‘Put it on the shelf’ - to save an idea - that we like - for when we know how to fit it into the show.
